Frank Lampard of Chelsea is apparently not being coveted by the Los Angeles Galaxy.
Chelsea star Frank Lampard is on the downside of his career, and there have been rumors from the London Daily Star that the Los Angeles Galaxy have been pursuing him. The Galaxy are denying those reports, according to Kevin Baxter of the Los Angeles Times.
The original report about Lampard circulated that he would accept a two-year deal to play in Los Angeles alongside David Beckham, as he'd try and get a free transfer move ot Los Angeles. Lampard has had trouble getting as much playing time as he's used to enjoying at Chelsea, and a move to Los Angeles would open up opportunities to play more often.
However, Lampard still is considering playing for England in the 2014 World Cup. It might be harder to make the team if he isn't playing for a club team in England. Additionally, the Galaxy is at the league limit for designated players with Beckham, Robbie Keane and Landon Donovan, which might impede the possibility of a transfer arrangement.
